Description of pallet labels:

GS1 Logistic Label consists of three sections.

  • The upper section of the label contains free format, a manufacturer of labels can be used for any purpose,
  • The middle section contains the human readable interpretation of the GS1 data shown in the bar codes that take up space in the lowest section of the label,
  • The bottom section contains the GS1-128 bar codes that contain all the data in the middle section.

If there is a need for more data, it is recommended to use A5 (148 mm x 210 mm) pallet labels.

The position of labels on pallets:

Two identical labels are placed on the pallet, one on the shorter side and the other on the longer side of the pallet.

Labels would be placed on pallets so that the barcodes are between 400mm and 800mm from the base of the pallet, and no closer than 50mm from the vertical edge of the pallet.
